The 3rd Mediterranean Oil & Gas Summit and the 8th Balkans Petroleum merge for the largest online Summit focusing on the region
The Med Gas & Energy Week gathered all of Med’s key players to discuss the latest developments and business opportunities in North Africa, the East Mediterranean and the Balkans.
From Africa’s frontier offshore exploration, East Med’s major midstream opportunities, and the Balkans’ updated fiscal incentives and seismic data, IN-VR has created the best platform to onboard Independents, Investors and Supply Chain companies that want to take part in the Mediterranean’s future.
With Europe and North Africa looking into energy transition, renewables and gas-to-power, the Med Gas & Energy Week featured a day focused exclusively on the latest opportunities created by this industry transformation.

Mme. Wafae Benhammou, Director for Partnerships and Promotion of ONHYM, Yannis Bassias CEO and Chairman (former) of HHRM, Paul Welch, CEO (former) of SDX Energy and Dave Jennette, Exploration General Manager of Apache discussing the region’s latest opportunities at IN-VR’s 2nd Mediterranean Oil & Gas Summit 2018.
Mediterranean Oil & Gas Summit
Since May 2012, IN-VR’s senior team has been engaging in a series of meetings and projects with the Mediterranean’s key hydrocarbon agencies, including Algeria’s ALNAFT, Morocco’s ONHYM, Greece’s HHRM, Cyprus’ CHC and more, to ensure we are always offering the largest platform to bridge potential investors with national policy makers and the international industry.
IN-VR has created one of the largest and most influential summits in the region, the Mediterranean Oil & Gas Summit. For the past 5 years, the industry’s most important oil and gas players gather to meet with more than 11 governments and hydrocarbons authorities in the Mediterranean to plan the region’s biggest projects and form partnerships to develop large gas projects.
With COVID-19 affecting all physical events, the Mediterranean Gas & Energy Summit will take place online, gathering the region’s key governments, NOCs, hydrocarbon agencies, IOCs and more.

Regional Summits
For the past 10 years, the IN-VR team has brought Balkans’ biggest and most influential summit to life, gathering the entire Balkans’ industry under one roof. We have been working closely with all the Balkans governments since 2010 to develop the region’s hydrocarbons industry and create a forum where countries and companies can plan together and meet with international investors and IOCs.
Every October, Balkan Ministries of Energy meet during the Balkans Petroleum Summit to seek investors and partners; from licensing rounds, to discovering the right Operator partner or Service Provider for them.
Marijan Krpan, President of the Management Board of the Croatian Hydrocarbon Agency, Adrian Bylyku, Executive Director of AKBN, and Istvan Gyerman, Business Development Manager of Aspect Croatia discuss midstream opportunities with George Kovacic at the 7th Balkans Petroleum Summit 2019 held in Montenegro.
Balkans Petroleum is the home of the Balkans Government Round-Table, the only place that the Balkans Governments meet and plan the oil & gas future of the region every year.
This year, we are taking the 8th Balkans Petroleum online, as part of the Mediterranean Gas & Energy Week mega-event.
